Description: The summer camp Childhood Cherries is a tradition of the last years for ”Casa Providenței” which is hosting for one week the main point of having fun and being active with children. The project is organized for all the children aged beetwen 7-12 years, who are invited to share beetwen them life happiness. The main activities are doing sport contests, workshops, role plays, handmades, drawing, dances and different other activities. Each year, we choose a strory and play it during one week long toghether with the children and animators who are taking part in this project.
Type of Work: Volunteers are going to help our local partner “Casa Providentei” to organize the summer camp for children. The first 3 days volunteers will help with the preparation of the camp, like arrangement of the playing area, decoration of the rooms, they will get to know local team and details about all the activities in the frame of this project. The 2nd part of the project volunteers will be involved in proper activities with children, like organizing different games, sports competitions, workshops and other activities. During this project there will be 2 trips outside Chisinau, this is going to be a chance for volunteers to get to know Moldovan history and culture better.
Study Theme: Participation of children and youth in civic life by discovering new places, history, culture and traditions, learning by teaching in the activities with children.
Accommodation: Accomodation will be in shared rooms by 2 people. The bathroom is shared. The food is provided by hosting organization, volunteers need only to prepare breakfast by themselves. Volunteers are also responsible to prepare the food during the weekend. The organization will provide all necessary products for the meals.
Language: Very good English capability is required. Romanian and Russian are welcome.
Requirements: It is forbidden to drink alcohol and smoke while working with the children.
